I have a fantasy escapade. The day the world bores down to heavily on my shoulders, I shall take off... I shall pack my bag with the quintessentials- a few pairs of socks, underwear, clothes, "Illusions- Richard Bach", "Into The Wild- Jon Krauker", A battery run mp3 player with my favourite songs, a sketch book and sketching material, a camera (hopefully), a few stuffs from my Boite de Memoire ( a keychain, a wooden plank, an old movie ticket maybe..), all of my cash, some cash stolen from my parents, a bar of soap, some biscuits, and a packet of chips. I'll take the next auto down to the metro station --> take a metro to Esplanade --> and then take a bus to Siliguri --> Then take the next bus to Kalingpong. In Kalingpong I shall roam! Roam amongst the hills and forests, ask the locals about places to visit and animals to beware of. I shall take exotic pictures of Kanchenjunga peeking from above the clouds, golden in the mist of dawn; and of birds unperturbed by the humanity growing on them. I shall capture the turbulent, narrow streams of brown silt water that flow through the cracks in the green and rocky mountains. I shall sit by the edge of a tree and sketch a futile black rock standing still amongst rejected human belongings. I shall observe nature, amidst humanity. I shall learn to live simply- picking tea leaves and herding sheep. And in all this time, if and when my money drains, I shall work in tea gardens and earn barely enough to survive..
I shall live independently, breathe freely. I shall escape this world of pompous presumptions and superhuman pride.
[ps- I just can't help it if it sounds like Into The Wild cuz
1. I love the movie
2. I love the book
3. They inspired me very much. ]
